# Memory (Chronological Mode)

This workspace uses **chronological daily memory**.

## Primary format
- `memory/YYYY-MM-DD.md` → daily running log
- `MEMORY.md` → long-term distilled memory

## Update cadence
- Daily file is appended throughout the day (hourly checkpoint cron + manual updates)
- Long-term MEMORY.md is updated when major preferences/decisions change

## Archive
Previous structured-memory experiment (episodic/semantic/procedural) was archived to:
- `memory/structured-archive/`
